I've been a little amazed at the number of requests I've had for the "Widgets In It" plugin – I should have realised it would be popular.
I made a few videos to show how the Multiple Streams Themes worked, and as part of those videos, I included a new plugin we've had under test called "Widgets In It".
It seems I've really hit the mark with it, and to my (pleasant) surprise I've had more than a few people ask about when I'll be releasing it.
I knew the idea behind it was a good one, but sometimes either not everybody gets it like I do, or maybe I don't accurately convey how good the idea and product is.
From the response I've had, this time I think I've got it right.
The double whammy of Widgets In It together with Ads Manager gives you ultimate control over WHERE your ads appear on your blog, and just as importantly WHEN.
I could go on and on about how they work together, and I will.
But if you prefer to watch a video and you missed it, then scroll to the end of this email for a link where you can watch two short and snappy 5 and 6 minute videos that I hope explains it all – I've had quite a few people who have seen the videos and who have clearly "got it" and have asked when they can get "Widgets In It".
Ads Manager gives you fine control over when your sidebar ads appear, and you can apply a HUGE selection of rules that dictate when an ad should display or not.
Why? Well contrary to popular belief you don't always want your ads to show simply because:-
a) Your regular blog visitors will get annoyed (I always do).
b) Ad blindness will kick in, rendering all your ads useless.
Okay? Make sense?
Next, take into account that on a standard WordPress installation you can only place widgets in the sidebars, which is just making it very easy for people to ignore. Right?
And now, along comes "Widgets In It".
This plugin allows you to place ANY WIDGET in any POST or PAGE, not just in the sidebars.
When you activate the plugin, it creates a new sidebar on the widgets page. You can then drop any widgets you want into it as normal.
And then…
When you create or edit a post or page, there's a new drop down appears on the edit page which contains all the widgets you placed in the sidebar.
This means you now have ultimate flexibility and control over your ads by using these two plugins in combination.
o Ads Manager lets you set rules for displaying ads.
o Widget In It allows you to place widgets (including ads) inside your posts and pages.
If you're not certain what I mean, just watch the 5 minute "Ads Manager" video and the 6 minute "Widgets In It" video.
I guarantee it will then all make sense and that you'll see why people are getting as excited as I already am about these two plugins.
As I always do, I'm running a special before setting the final price.
For 48 hours you can get both Widgets In It and Ads Manager in pre-release for just $10, that's less than half the final price I'll be setting for this bundle.

The price will further increase when the official Plugin Great site goes live to $27.00, so this is your chance to get BOTH these plugins at one low price.

I am absolutely excited about these two new plugins. They offer tons of possibilities of how to use a WP blog and customize it.
Congratulations on that and thanks for sharing,
Mac
I am a little confused.
The link goes to the multiplesstreamsthemes website but I thought this was one of Jimmy Brown's packages that stopped selling back in March I think.
What do your plugins have to do with the theme and do we need it for the plugins to work?
Cheers
Ade
@Ade Martin:
All confusion will go away when you read this post:-
http://www.frankhaywood.com/what-would-you-pay/
Essentially it says that as Jimmy retired his own offering to concentrate on other things, I took the original idea he was no longer using and had the first of my own themes created in the same vein.
However, I then took it several steps further with the inclusion of Ads Manager and lots of sidebars, plus a WP 3.0 version that supports Custom Menus. Unlike Jimmy's one-off theme, there will be more to follow that adopt the same concept for pro-bloggers and small business.
You can still get the theme with Ads Manager included for $27 in this post:-

I can't wait to use this! Easy to use, easy to edit. Perfect!
Thank you for sharing this with us.

Hi Frank
I have the Multi income streams theme and that has the ads manager plugin already, so do i have to pay for that aswell as the widgits in it plugin.
It would be great if you could let us know
Jason
@Jason:
If you'd subscribed to the mailing list for MST, you would have received TWO emails about it. It's always important to join the customer list for a product you purchase as that's how you get to find out about customer offers.
Isn't that a good lesson to learn?

Hi there Frank, hope you are well.
I just have to say that you always amaze me with your ideas and products that you develop.
You are one of these guys that devlops USEFUL & HELPFUL products and not a load of money wasting bits of junk. So thank you for this.
I am about to purshase the Widgets In plugin and look forward to implementing it's options onto my soon to be launched new blog.
Once again thanks for all your help, advice and great products.
Take care
Valda
Hi, Frank
As always you deliver stunning products, that are not only easy to use but versatile in the many ways that a purchaser can use them. Having purchased the MST with the plug-in manager combined for a very small price, I was amazed at only having to pay $5 for the Widgets-in-it plug-in. It is one of the smartest plug-ins that i have purchased anywhere and also the cheapest.
Thanks for being someone who genuingly cares and knows how to treat his subscribers.
Valda and Vince, thank you.
You know how I do it? I come up with ideas for stuff that I really want myself.
I either borrow the ideas from elsewhere and then improve on them, or the ideas develop from scratch based on my own requirements.
At the moment I have the most stunning idea for a WordPress membership plugin, and someone starts on Monday full time to work on that for me. My approach to it will be unique, never been done before, and side step the limitations imposed by similar attempts I've purchased. It's a BIG project.
My plan is to release the core for free and then sell plugins to give you the custom functionality you need. There will always be a window of opportunity where I'll offer the plugins at a very low price, or I may start a plugin club or something like that.
The way I see it is, as long as there's enough money coming in to pay the developers, and enough for me to take a salary and pay my bills, then the rest just goes back into growing the business.
That way, everybody is happy.

For those less skilled at html (like me) you can wrap text around image produced by Widgets-In-It with this code:
[widget class="text" id="13"/]
first px is top
second px is right
third px is bottom
fourth px is left
This plug-in is great.
DZ
@Dwight Zimpel:
Try wrapping < code > tags around your comment. I'm not sure if this will work but it's worth a try.

Sorry! I can't post my "hint" properly.
Sorry Frank…I'm confused…I already own pg-ads-manager.zip ….does it include the 'widgets in it'?
Please advise.
@Janice:
No. Ads Manager is given away with the Multiple Streams Themes and also with "Widgets In It", but not the other way round.
I don't intend to sell Ads Manager on its own at any point, it will always be a case of including it with other suitable products as a bonus item.

g'day Frank,
Well I can't believe I didn't have this one.
Had something similar but it was the culprit to one of my blogs going down.
So I will have to pay the price and hopefully this one will work for me without any more drama's.
Have a good one.
